First songs, written with care.
This project started with my two daughters. The songs are original, but shaped by a respect for traditional lullabies: their forms, their imagery, and the way they work.
The Story
Lullabies today are often mass-produced content, optimized for algorithms rather than meaning. Vaggvisa is different: each song is written with care, revised until it feels right, and designed to be sung or hummed by a parent, not just played in the background.
The project draws on traditional lullabies from around the world, studying their lyrics, their melodic patterns, and the musical structures that make them work. Every song is an original, but shaped by that research. Tools help with exploration; the choices and responsibility are mine.
Each song follows the constraints that make the genre work: repetition, clarity, cadence, and imagery that soothes rather than excites.
Selected Songs
Short sets, curated as small albums. Gentle pacing, no interruptions once the music begins.
